Ingredients:
- 1/2 fresh cauliflower, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 2 cups plant-based meat, chopped into small pieces
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, minced
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon cane sugar or honey
- 3 tablespoons water
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 8-10 lettuce leaves, washed and dried
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds for sprinkling
Preparation:
- Mix the water with the cornstarch and set aside.
- In a pan, heat the oil, ginger, and garlic and lightly sauté. Add the soy sauce and the water-cornstarch mixture. Stir in the sugar and mix until the sauce thickens and the cornstarch is clarified. Once it reaches a boil, turn off the heat and set aside.
- In the same pan, lightly cook the cauliflower pieces in a little water until they are just tender.
- Drain the water and add the plant-based meat, mixing well.
- Stir in the reserved sauce and mix thoroughly. Add the chopped green onions and turn off the heat.
- Spoon the mixture onto lettuce leaves to serve.
