Ingredients:
- 5 to 6 green apples (Granny Smith)
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup water
- 3 Tbs lemon juice
- 2 cups quick oats
- 1/4 cup shredded coconut
- 1/4 cup walnuts or almonds
- 1/2cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup grapeseed or vegetable oil
Preparation:
- Wash and peel apples.
- Cut the apples into thin slices and put them in a baking pan, spreading them evenly and compactly.
- Put the water with lemon and sugar on all the apples to prevent them from darkening.
- In a separate bowl, mix oats, 3 Tbs sugar, coconut, ground nuts, vanilla, oil, cinnamon, and salt.
- Mix until all ingredients are well incorporated.
- Spoon mixture over apples.
- Bake for 45 minutes at 340º C.
