Apple Crisp

Ingredients:

  • 5 to 6 green apples (Granny Smith)
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 3 Tbs lemon juice
  • 2 cups quick oats
  • 1/4 cup shredded coconut
  • 1/4 cup walnuts or almonds
  • 1/2cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup grapeseed or vegetable oil

Preparation:

  1. Wash and peel apples.
  2. Cut the apples into thin slices and put them in a baking pan, spreading them evenly and compactly.
  3. Put the water with lemon and sugar on all the apples to prevent them from darkening.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix oats, 3 Tbs sugar, coconut, ground nuts, vanilla, oil, cinnamon, and salt.
  5. Mix until all ingredients are well incorporated.
  6. Spoon mixture over apples.
  7. Bake for 45 minutes at 340º C.
